Social Responsibility

As a South African business, we feel that it is not only our moral obligation to aid the less fortunate, but that it’s also a privilege to be able to give back to our community. Over the years RJ45 has contributed to a number of charities and worthy causes through monthly donations, annual contributions and hands-on social outreach programs.

Here are some of the beneficiaries we have assisted over the years:

Home from Home

Is a registered cluster foster scheme committed to loving, protecting and raising vulnerable children to become independent young adults. They ensure the children receive the highest level of care with individual treatment plans, therapeutic intervention, tutoring and mentorship.

Home from Home
Oasis Association

Oasis Association

Provides employment opportunities, skills development training, day care centres and residential homes for over 450 intellectually disabled men, women and children in the greater Cape Town area.

Learn to Earn

Is an organisation that makes life changing interventions in unemployed people through skills training, job creation and enterprise development. They have skills development and training centres based in Khayelitsha and Hermanus where they endeavour to eradicate unemployment and other legacies of injustice in South Africa. Since 1989 they have trained more than 13 000 unemployed people with market-related skills.

Fisantekraal Animal Welfare – Facility Upliftment Project

Fisantekraal Animal Welfare – Facility Upliftment Project

In 2013 we assisted FAW with the erection of roofs, a paved waiting area and the reconstruction of kennels. A few years later in 2015, we aided them in upgrading and paving their entire parking area.

DARG (Domestic Animal Rescue Group)

After DARG experienced four burglaries in just five days, we decided to donate and install brand new computer hardware and software at their shelter in Hout Bay.

Cart Horse Protection Association

Cart Horse Protection Association

We provide monthly financial support for a stable at CPHA’s Recovery and Rehabilitation Centre, where sick and injured cart horses are cared for and nursed back to health. The stables also provide homes for horses that are waiting for adoption, acting as a nursery and safe haven for mares to foal down.

Eseltjiesrus Donkey Sanctuary

After years of mistreatment from an abusive owner, 20-year-old Thabo is spending his golden years in the caring hands of the Eseltjiesrus Donkey Sanctuary. Each month we sponsor his care, feed and medical care, ensuring that his remaining years are those of true love and comfort.
